Book of Remembrance

Our tradition teaches us to honor the memories of our departed loved ones during the Yizkor services on the holiest day of the year, Yom Kippur. With love and devotion to the fond and sacred memories of our loved ones, Central Synagogue embraces this tradition for our extended virtual community by presenting the Book of Remembrance.

The Book of Remembrance is for participants that are part of our virtual community and would like to share the name of an immediate family member who passed between September 28, 2022, and September 17, 2023. The submission deadline was Wednesday, September 18, 2023, 5:00 pm ET. Submissions are now closed.

To the departed...

The departed whom we now remember have entered into the peace of life eternal. They still live on earth in the acts of goodness they performed and in the hearts and lives of those who cherish their memory. May the beauty of their lives abide among us as an everlasting blessing. May the Source of Peace send peace to all who mourn and comfort all the bereaved among us.
